Bridesmaid Gift Ideas

Words by Jennifer Stein

Not all women are created equal and not all gift ideas suit everyone either. While one person might be into a visit to the spa, another is all about a fun home improvement project. Here’s a list of fun bride or bridesmaid gift ideas, depending on personality type and interests.

Jewelry Lover:

Get sentimental with Laurel & Bleau and their Signature Charm Collection. This unique and totally personalized piece of jewelry is not only fun, but shows you put a little extra thought into their gift. Take a loved one’s signature and custom-create a piece of jewelry. You can choose from your own design or select from dozens of designs ready to go. Prices start at $200 for sterling silver.

Fitness Fashionista:

Boring old yoga pants are so “yesterday.” For the fitness fashionista in your life, give her the gift of style with Flexi Lexi’s dancer leggings. These are perfect for a Barre class, Pilates, yoga or just a run to the store. We suggest buying one size up, since they do fit a little on the small side, but wow do they make a BIG impact! Prices start at $79.

Another favorite product line that combines function with fashion is Funktional Wearables. We sampled the Tinsley in grey to disguise the FitBit Flex and not only got countless compliments, but were tempted to wear it without the activity tracker since it was so cute! Retails for only $20 and fits the Fitbit Flex and Fitbit Flex2.

Home Décor Fanatic:

Potted plants are all the rage. But, if you’re anything like me, you can barely keep a cactus alive. Fake plants, well, they’re fake. But we found a company that offers a silk plant that looks about as real as the real thing and is affordable. Permaleaf is an online source you can order direct from. They can provide everything from artificial turf to topiaries and even “living walls.” The Fiddle Fig Leaf is the one we tried and just loved. Prices start at $100.

Accessory Junkie:

Italian leather makes just about anyone weak in the knees. And to find an accessory that’s not just soft to the touch, but also a design that is functional and stylish is a slam-dunk of a gift. Kyla Joy has created the Audrey Convertible Backpack, which is all of those aforementioned things and more. It can be worn as a backpack or cross-body, taking it from day to night. Prices start at $498 and come in an assortment of colors.

Makeup Maven:

You truly do get what you pay for when it comes to makeup. One of our dearly beloved quality brands is jane iredale. Sold in many high-end salons, this “skin care” makeup line, has released a BB cream that provides glowing results with ultimate sun protection. The Glow Time Full Coverage Mineral BB Cream glides on with ease and a little goes a long way – allowing your investment to stand the test of time. Retails for $48.

A perfect pairing with jane iredale’s BB cream is the Active Light under-eye concealer and highlighter. Select your color based on what you’re trying to conceal – redness or under-eye circles. Blended with your favorite BB cream color, this marriage is a match made in skin care heaven! Active Light retails for $28.

Pajama Mama:

Sexy pajamas are a staple for the honeymoon, but sometimes silk and lace just doesn’t cut it. Keep the sexy, but trade the skimpy for something a little more comfortable. KIP Sleepwear enters the scene with a 100% Egyptian cotton Jacquard nightshirt available in multiple colors and with the option of monogramming. These indulgently cozy shirts retail for $119, add $20 for monogramming.
