Real-Life Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya

Words by Jennifer Stein
Photography by Maureen Ford
Melissa and Patrick's decision to do a destination wedding was a simple one. Since the couple lives in Boston and much of their family and friends had to travel to get to Boston anyway, the pair figured they would have their wedding in a place that had a great vacation feel. In doing so, Melissa and Patrick were able to take advantage of a few days away to celebrate with those near and dear to them.

Melissa had chosen pink and green as her signature colors and incorporated many DIY details such as her hand-made stir sticks in their signature drink (a classic mojito) and seashell name tags.

Images were taken by destination wedding photographer, Maureen Ford, who referred to Melissa and Patrick as, "the kind of couple who make being in love look so good!"
And, we agree!

Melissa's bouquet, complete with brightly colored flowers, also included a family heirloom broach, keeping even the smallest details sentimental and sweet.
