It's not every day we get a submission where everything lines up and the "small world" factor is in full effect. This December, I was contacted by a bride's mother. "My daughter used DESTINATION i do while planning her Mexico destination wedding in the Riviera Maya. She loved the photo spreads of other brides and it helped her get inspiration for her big day. Now that her wedding day as come and gone I'd like to submit her photos in hopes of her wedding helping other brides get ideas for their wedding."

I don't know about you guys, but after looking at the exquisite details, vibrant colors and fun-loving guests, I was inspired! Then when I started looking through the images of the bridal party, I realized, I worked with one of the bridesmaids at a nearby publishing company several years ago! Sure enough, Katherine now works at the very same company I had gotten my publishing start - small world for sure!

a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_h6Rtgsa-ApA/S7y0CLklBxI/AAAAAAAAFFA/BZaT4J4TIxA/s1600/mexico+destination+wedding1.jpg"> Katherine and Jim selected Azul Sensatori in Cancun as their destination wedding backdrop and the amazing Elizabeth Medina Photography as their destination wedding photographer.

The interesting architecture of the hotel and the breathtaking ocean scene for their vows left absolutely nothing to be desired and everything to be admired!

Starfish place cards paired with Katherine & Jim's fuchsia signature color gave the overall event a beach-casual yet elegant feel to it.

Katherine included local Mexican flair in her favors and the bold pink paper lanterns gave a vibrant, fun and sophisticated ambiance for the evening reception.

Floor-length flowing strapless bridesmaid gowns paired with a bright orange bouquet are a perfect choice for pictures (reds and pinks always pop)!Katherine and Jim decided to do a "trash the dress" session after their big day and the result is beautiful!

We wish Katherine and Jim a lifetime of happiness and thank Katherine's mom, Katy Kennedy, for submitting this amazing wedding to our magazine. We are always honored to showcase Elizabeth's work and if you'd like to see more images and a slide show of this wedding, click here.
