Travel Tuesday - In Honor of Mother's Day
Words by Jennifer Stein
Mothers start the day off right at the resort’s signature Vista Ballenas restaurant with an Anti-Aging Breakfast of an anti-wrinkle fruit salad, natural yogurt, detoxifying herbal juice, salmon omelet, Organic homemade bread, Organic coffee, and herbal tea. Following a bath infused with citrus oranges, tangerines and essential oils, the anti-oxidant-rich “Grapes Experience” spa treatment includes an exfoliating body scrub to activate blood circulation. A grape-based wrap intertwined with the soothing scent of sandalwood and myrrh finishes off the treatment, providing a regenerative and revitalizing effect and leaving skin feeling soft and smooth.
Rounding out the royal treatment, mothers receive a French manicure and pedicure to cure those overworked hands and feet. The complimentary Mother’s Day amenities are available for guests who book a minimum of four nights in a Junior Suite or a Private Pool Casita during the month of May 2010. Nightly rates begin at $355 for a Junior Suite. The 80-minute “Grapes Experience” is also available for visitors to Los Cabos not staying at the hotel for $180. Tax and service charge are additional.

Featured in National Geographic Traveler’s “Hotels with a Heart,” the Marquis Los Cabos donates five percent of the hotel’s annual revenue for the staff’s education and healthcare in its Marquis University. Since 2003, the resort has helped on average 20 employees a year obtain primary schooling and bachelor degrees.
