New Travel Gadget for Clear Skin

As a long time sufferer of sensitive skin (and that’s putting it mildly), I was all too thrilled when the PR team at Clarisonic sent the newest addition to their line-up of electrically powered, skin-clearing products. Because we’re a magazine/blog/Web site devoted to destination weddings and honeymoons, it only made sense that they send over their travel version – the Clarisonic Mia.
Small and portable, the Mia comes in three colors and fits easily into a toiletry bag. At first it looks a little intimidating as it has this oscillating brush that appears much harsher than it actually is.

My expectations were low because I have tried so many products in my life to combat my overly high-maintenance, combination skin all to no avail. Within two weeks, the look and feel of my skin actually improved, considerably! It was smoother, my pores smaller and overall, I had a more radiant look. Now, it didn’t zap my fine lines, nor did it take away spots, but it doesn’t claim to. It did far more for my skin than microderm abrasion ever has!
The price tag on the unit isn’t shocking, coming in at $149, and the replacement brushes aren’t a financial commitment either - $25 for one or $40 for two. You only need to replace brushes every 90-120 days so long as you wash the brush weekly to get rid of any residue.

If you do decide to get one to shape your skin up for your big wedding away, which I highly recommend, make sure you clean it properly and store it in a dry place to lengthen the life of the brush heads.
So all in all, I would not only recommend the Clarisonic Mia to pretty much anyone, I might buy this as a gift for my other “sensitive skinned” friends so they can experience the benefits too!
