Real Destination Wedding in the City of San FranciscoWords by Courtney Kellar Words by Courtney Cox

When someone mentions a wedding at City Hall it doesn’t always make me think exciting, unique and romantic, but that’s exactly what Justine and Steven’s wedding was. In a way it was the ultimate destination wedding. For them it wasn’t so much the ceremony itself which was the focus, but the city in which it took place. This couple embraced San Francisco as their temporary home and spent their wedding day running the streets of the city.
The couple chose a beautiful backdrop for their big day hitting all the major hot spots of San Francisco. The Austin, Texas natives even put up with especially chilly California weather. Justine took advantage of her crafty side and made her own bouquet out of lace and buttons. She also created Steven's boutonniere from scratch. Justine kept it simple with a short and sweet white dress.
Justine, a grade school teacher, had her student's draw a picture of San Francisco's iconic Golden Gate Bridge. It was a must to bring along. Unfortunately, the couple's beloved Schnauzer couldn't come along on the trip. Instead the couple brought along a favorite photo and their pet's favorite toy. Even though this addition to their family couldn't be there in "person" the puppy was still in their thoughts.
I had a difficult time choosing which pictures to post of this wedding. Every photo was unique and beautiful. It's nice to see a couple's personality so clearly present in their wedding day images. Thanks for sharing them with us!
