It's All About the Details With This Real Punta Cana Wedding

Amy and Eric’s romance could have come straight out of the movies, which is ironic because they met on the set of a television show. Both were production assistants for the show Dance 360. Amy had moved out to Hollywood in search of fame and fortune. Instead, she found something much better—true love.

After six years of dating, the couple decided it was time to tie the knot and flew to the Dominican Republic with 34 of their closest friends and family. They decided to select the beautiful Majestic Elegance All Inclusive Resort in Punta Cana for their venue.

Amy went to great lengths in order to ensure that this wasn’t just a wedding, but a real getaway for her and Eric’s guests. She made custom games and favors for each guest. A break the ice game centered around her and Eric’s courtship and helped the guests to chat it up. An enormous perk of having a destination wedding is being able to spend real quality time with your guests before or after the wedding.

Eric and Amy’s guests arrived two days before the wedding and had a bevy of activities and events waiting for them. By the end of the celebrations, all the guests were like old friends. Other personalized touches included drink flags and name tags.

The couple said “I do” on the white-sanded beach and were married by a close family friend. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as the couple read each other the vows they had written. After the ceremony, the party went on late into the night. In order to really cap off the lovely few days, Amy’s parents celebrated their anniversary the day after the wedding.
Perhaps years from now Amy and Eric will return to Punta Cana in order to celebrate their anniversary and long, happy years together. It was the little details that really set this wedding apart, so it appears all of Amy’s hard work and dedication paid off! Best of luck, you two!
