Embrace Your Dark Side With a Vampy Lip on Your Wedding Day
Words by Courtney Kellar Words by Brandy Gomez-DuplessisPhotos courtesy of Dolce & Gabbana The Makeup and Greg Miles
Dark purple lips are back this season. The sexy siren Scarlett Johansson graced many magazine pages this fall in a Dolce & Gabbana ad, models strutted down the catwalk and every makeup line is coming out with their own fabulous shade of vampy purple. The traditional destination bride may think this look is just way too daring, but if you are a bride that wants to make a statement--this shade is definitely for you.

The vampy lip color can be worn either in a matte shade or glammed up with a high-gloss pout. But remember when it’s time to kiss the groom, he will have to settle for Hollywood air kisses (smooches).
The best way for any bride to pull off this look is simple:
Keep the skin sheer
Mix a liquid luminizer in with your liquid foundation
Line your eyes with a crème or liquid eyeliner
Give yourself a strong, contoured cheek
Of course you can’t forget the eyelashes to complete this look
