The lovely and talented Anti-Bride is again breaking new ground. Her alterna-wedding message is now reaching brides in a new and even more exciting way—via their phones! This week marked the launch of the Anti-Bride Mobile App on the Apple iTunes store. Anti-Bride is the first bridal blog to make it into the store and onto your mobile device. Best of all—it’s free, a word brides don’t often here!

As I’m sure you all know, the Anti-Bride, is a longtime love of us here at Destination I Do. We work together to bring destination brides the most helpful and quality content as possible both here on the blog and in Destination I Do Magazine.

The Anti-Bride Mobile App is a mobile blog that is easily accessible via iTunes and filled with original content that challenges the traditional views of what it means to be a bride. Content comes from a fashion, lifestyle, music, venue and travel perspective with innovative ideas, products, services and editorial.

“Weddings are planned year-round and engaged couples turn to the Internet via their phones more than ever for wedding and travel inspiration,” says creator, Carolyn Gerin, “We wanted to be able to deliver entertaining and inspiring alterna-bridal content daily, so couples can take a little content vacation, on the go and on demand.”

According to the creator, the Anti-Bride Mobil App was also created with the following purposes:

-To enlighten and inspire alterna-brides and grooms, destination couples and urban style setters. The Anti-Bride celebrates the road less traveled with fresh, useful and irreverent bridal and destination wedding content.

-To create and aggregate a powerful social community of innovative brides who are redefining what “wedding” means for them and in the marketplace.

-To highlight unique vendors who aren’t traditionally seen as players in the “bridal industry” and help brides find innovative resources that defy mainstream offerings.

The Anti-Bride is quick to note that she couldn’t have created all this creative and helpful content on her own. The Anti-Bride Mobile App also offers up content from many of her partners/bloggers:

-Jennifer Stein, editor in chief of Destination I Do Magazine covers Destination Diva
-Brett Snyder, aka the Cranky Flier helps you travel smart
-Rootmusic.com, the creator of Facebook’s Band Page covers Anti-Wedding Band
-DrinkMeMagazine.com lifts the lid on libations with Drink Me
-Brandy Gomez-Duplessis, L’Oreal color specialist, makeup artist to the stars and Mercedes –Benz Fashion Week lead covers Glam-o-gram
-Dorothy Polka, PolkadotBride.com, Australia’s #1 bridal blogger handles Aussie Bride
-Katie Martin, publisher of Eco Beautiful Weddings, the first online eco wedding magazine, covers Eco Bride

So, all you owners of the iPhone or iTouch sit up and take notice. Help us support one of our own and get some great advice and helpful content along the way by downloading the Anti-Bride Mobil App today.
