One of the biggest things that sets Destination I Do Magazine apart is that we don’t feature or recommend any destination or product without first seeing it for ourselves. This means a lot of traveling! Trust me, I’m not complaining, but we’re forced to become experts at packing, navigating foreign airports and looking our best on the go.
Luckily, there’s a new book which can show you how to become a travel and beauty expert on the move. Debbi Kickham has been a professional travel journalist for more than 25 years and just released her third book, The Globetrotter’s Get-Gorgeous Guide. Travel can be brutal, especially when you spend extensive amounts of time on airplanes and in airports.
Debbi’s new book is full of diet and beauty tips for traveling women of all ages. The Globetrotter’s Get-Gorgeous Guide also includes exercise advice, cosmetics info and shopping secrets. Between the covers of Debbi’s new book you’ll find advice from flight attendants and travel professionals, tips on how to stay thin on a cruise and celebrity travel secrets.
Speaking of celebrities, Debbi got input from such lovelies as Carmindy, celebrity makeup artist on What Not to Wear (love her!), Samantha Brown, TV host on The Travel Channel, and our very own Editor in Chief, Jennifer Stein.
Jennifer makes her appearance in Chapter Two – The Plane Truth and shares some of her fitness and beauty trips she uses while traveling.
For example, she has a go-to trick to conquer motion sickness – peppermint oil.
“I keep it in my purse at all times,” said Jennifer. “I used it with success in Thailand on a ferry while everyone else got sick.”
Debbi’s new book The Globetrotter’s Get-Gorgeous Guide is now available online at Barnes&Noble.com, Amazon.com and Borders.com This book will give any destination bride tips and tricks for keeping fit and fab even while traveling for your wedding! Oh, and while you're out at Barnes & Noble or Borders, don't forget to pick up the new winter issue of Destination I Do Magazine!
