Being from Arizona, I’ve spent many a summer vacay in beautiful San Diego, CA. Not only that, but I have dozens of friends who say they one day want to get married there. For Courtney and Josh (also from Arizona) that’s exactly what they did! The couple and their closest family and friends escaped the sweltering heat that is Arizona in July and escaped to the sunny shores of the Pacific.
Ironically, Courtney and Josh chose to begin their life together in a spot that seems to be at the end of the earth. For their destination wedding, San Diego’s Sunset Cliffs were where Courtney and Josh promised to love each other forever. Courtney walked down a long, sandy aisle to meet Josh at the altar. Surrounded by dozens of loved ones and the sound of crashing waves, the couple exchanged vows.
The wedding party arrived in a bus-sized woody, a fun mix between a limo and party bus. The living room-styled interior and fun driver insured the bridal party arrived in comfort and ready to have a good time! It was important to the couple that their guests feel welcome and that they had an amazing time! The couple kicked things off with a welcome basket for all their guests filled with yummy treats and a lengthy, but optional, to-do list.
The party continued during the couple’s reception at The Dana on Mission Bay. Courtney’s blue, pink and yellow seaside theme continued with shell and starfish décor, soft lighting and vibrant flowers. It’s clear that Josh and Courtney’s guests had a blast and that this is one destination wedding they won’t soon forget.
