Destination I Do’s blog is designed to be helpful, interesting and, above all else, inspiring. We hope that our real-life weddings encourage you to think outside the box when it comes to your wedding and to dream big. There’s no doubt that Rebecca and Tim reached for the stars when it came to planning their destination wedding. This couple chose a fairytale setting and said “I do” in Positano, Italy.

With enough thought, inspiration and planning – your dream wedding is possible. Rebecca and Tim aimed high with Italy and pulled off destination nuptials their friends and loved ones will never forget. The couple, their friends and family traveled to the Mediterranean for a few days of love, laughter and celebration.
Rebecca and Tim held a rehearsal dinner at the top of a mountain where the only thing that outshone their love for each other was the stunning seaside views. The couple had a group of Italian singers to entertain their guests and enjoyed a seven-course meal. Fireworks ended the evening and got the wedding party excited for the day to come.

After traveling to such a striking destination, the couple was smart and let the background do the talking for their wedding. This playful couple added splashes of bright pink to complement the vibrant foliage of the Italian summer. They exchanged vows during a rooftop ceremony which overlooked the stunningly azure Mediterranean.

Once Rebecca and Tim were pronounced “man and wife,” they made their way down to the beach through the streets of Positano. A few things are definitely not lacking in Italy – amazing food, sincere hospitality and a level of friendliness that’s hard to match. The couple experienced the love of Positano’s residents as they made their way through the cobblestone streets after their wedding. All the store owners stood on their front stoops to shout congratulations to the newlyweds as they strode past.

The couple took advantage of Positano’s world-class beach and posed with the famous cliffside as a backdrop. The Amalfi Coast is a truly unique place and one that’s beauty cannot be missed. Rebecca and Tim’s reception again took advantage of the city’s stunning views and took place in a local restaurant set into the cliffs. The group was in the mood to celebrate and enjoyed the restaurant’s club-like cellar for late-night dancing.

The great thing about a destination wedding is that you’re not limited to a one-day affair. The day after the wedding, the newlyweds and their guests boarded boats for a quick hop over to the isle of Capri. I’ve taken this trip myself and can honestly say that it’s one of the most striking sails you will ever make. The wedding party agreed and enjoyed a day of shopping and exploring in Capri.
While Rebecca and Tim’s destination wedding had to come to an end, we have a feeling that this cool and vivacious couple has many more days of fun in their future! Thanks for sharing your amazing Italian adventure with us!
