After Nancy and Salim got engaged, a destination wedding was just what they had in mind. Ultimately, the couple was joined by 50 friends and family in Puerto Morelos, Mexico. This destination was an easy choice for the couple who wanted a wedding weekend full of rest, relaxation and quality time with their loved ones.
Salim, Nancy and all their guests stayed at the Azul Beach Resort. The resort also hosted the couple’s welcome party, ceremony and reception. Nancy looked to DestinationWeddings.com to help her make her wedding dreams come true. With the help of the site, the couple was able to get group rates on rooms and ensured tax, gratuities and airport transfers were all included in their guests’ stays.
Another way Nancy used DestinationWeddings.com was to help her figure out how to thread her and Salim’s personal styles throughout the wedding. It’s clear from their gorgeous wedding photos that the two were successful in creating a cohesive, fun look.
One of the couple’s favorite moments throughout their wedding weekend extravaganza was the welcome party they threw for their guests. The theme was distinctly Mexican with a mariachi band, maracas, colorful sombreros and a menu made up of yummy Mexican appetizers.
Nancy has some advice for other brides looking to pull off their dream destination wedding. “Be creative in what you want, be willing to let some things go and trust that everything will be beautiful and work out great.”
