One of the perks of getting married in a popular destination like Riviera Maya, Mexico is that there are plenty of choices for your big day. Liz and Ryan weighed their options and decided to say “I do” at Banyan Tree Mayakoba.

The Banyan resorts are renowned for having spectacular service and stunning surroundings. (We visited in 2010, see our web site for our review). Liz and Ryan could not have been happier with the way their destination wedding turned out and it’s clear from their W-day photos that the Banyan Tree was the perfect choice for them.

The couple exchanged vows in front of their closest friends and family and in the shadows of the resort’s dramatic lobby. Liz took advantage of the exotic locale and carried a bouquet of vibrant orange tropical blooms. Her dress was stunning with geometric details that provided interest and took the gown to the next level.

After their gorgeous ceremony, Ryan and Liz enjoyed their reception with a gorgeous lounge set-up right on the beach. Music, a bon fire and a great meal all contributed to the couple and their guests having the time of their lives.

If you’re going to make the trek south of the border for your destination wedding, do all you can to take advantage of your romantic locale. Ryan and Liz did exactly this and what resulted was a stunning wedding with interesting details and an even more unique setting.
