Everyone has their own opinion of what the perfect wedding is like. It can be assumed, because you’re reading this blog, that you feel a destination wedding is the right fit for you. First off, great choice! Second, now that you know a wedding away is want you want, fight to ensure that your wedding vision comes true. Quentin and Donovia knew a traditional wedding wasn’t the route they were meant to take. Instead, they chose to have the most intimate of intimate weddings – just the two of them!
The couple had traveled to Negril, Jamaica a few years before getting engaged, but knew immediately they wanted to come back and get married there someday. Well, obviously that day came and the two chose Sandals resorts in Negril to host their big day. The couple describes their experience as a “stress-free wedding-moon.” Sounds good to me!
Because the couple didn’t have guests or a wedding party, the planning really couldn’t have been simpler. Donovia and Quentin booked their stay at Sandals and let the properties wedding professionals handle the rest. The two exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony on the beach. A white gazebo offered striking views of the ocean while giving the couple the privacy they wanted.
Donovia and Quentin enjoyed a wonderful dinner afterward and took their time taking sunset pictures with their photographers. The entire W-day was stress free, romantic and everything the couple always wanted. However, the couple didn’t want their loved ones entirely left out and hosted a formal reception back in their hometown after returning from Jamaica.
Donovia spent a little more than she wanted, but understands it all went towards the experience she dreamed of. “I would definitely recommend a destination wedding. As most know, planning a wedding can be very stressful and stress takes the joy and excitement out of planning a wedding. Planning my destination wedding was stress-free, all I had to do was show up and the wedding staff took care of everything else.”
