Melinda and Clint’s plans for a Las Vegas wedding were likely met with some reservations from family and friends. Little did their loved ones know that this wasn’t going to be the traditional get-married-quick Vegas wedding.
The couple chose the stunning Springs Preserve as their place to say “I do.” The 180-acre property consists of botanical gardens, historical buildings and a wildlife sanctuary. It could be said that Melinda and Clint went old-school Las Vegas because the Springs Preserve is on the National Register of Historic Places.
The couple’s funkier, urban style was a beautiful contrast to the nuptials’ natural surroundings. Melinda’s unique bouquet was reminiscent of edgy Las Vegas style and was a perfect complement to her sassy, ruffled wedding dress. The bridesmaids also carried distinctive, modern bouquets. The floral arrangements were all done by the very creative Julie Reed Events.
The couple’s purple and silver color scheme was brought home by hanging crystals throughout the wedding. The ceremony was in a simple setting, but the shimmer of dangling crystals added just a touch of glamour to the occasion.
Post-ceremony the couple and their guests sat down to a delicious meal by Wolfgang Puck Catering. Silver birdcage centerpieces went along with the overall feel of the wedding with a glammed-up, natural feel.
As the couple danced the night away, the sun set in the desert and the nearby Vegas Strip came to life. While it symbolized the end of a beautiful day, it also represented that there are many fun, exciting things to come for this couple!
