Today’s Real Wedding Wednesday post features Jeannie and Joe - a good looking couple who took their nuptials to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Their destination wedding location is a favorite of New England couples looking to escape the big city without traveling too far from home. Jeannie and Joe said “I do” at Duck Woods Country Club.
The bride clearly has a passion for purple (something I can relate to). Things were kept classic and not overly designed or complicated. The couple took advantage of the beachside setting when it came to their portraits, but treated guests to an indoor reception.
Complete with delicious food, elegantly purple accents and great live music – the reception was a hit with guests. The desert bar not only fit the wedding’s color scheme, but kept guests’ appetites at bay. A live wedding band is a great way to get the party started and ensure your reception is a party that no one will soon forget.
The classically elegant wedding came to a fairytale close with dozens of sparklers and a getaway in a classic car. Having a beautiful, stylish wedding doesn’t have to been dozens of intricate projects and a wild and crazy color scheme. Jeannie and Joe kept things simple and with pops of color. What resulted was an evening centered around friends, family and of course - love.
