Suzanne and Edward are a cute California couple who had a different type of beach in mind than those of the southern California coast. The two of them, along with their closest friends and family, traveled to the Hawaiian island of Maui for their nuptials.

Hawaii no doubt hosts thousands of destination weddings a year, so it’s always a couple’s challenge to make their event unique. Suzanne and Edwards bright orange and blue color scheme was distinctly tropical and fitting of a fun beachside wedding.

The couple held their nuptials at the famous Merriman’s Restaurant on Maui. This is one of Maui’s most popular wedding venues thanks to the amazing food and even more spectacular views. Edward and Suzanne said “I do” on a terrace overlooking the ocean during a romantic ceremony.

Their reception and ceremony location made pictures on the beach easy-breezy. The couple walked along the gorgeous beach and enjoyed one of Hawaii’s famous sunsets before joining their guests back at Merriman’s for their reception.

Having a great destination wedding doesn’t always have to mean theatrics. Sometimes it’s as simple as great food, a loving family and a beautiful setting in which to start your life together. Suzanne and Edward found all of this in Maui, Hawaii.
