Destination Wedding Costa Rica: A Bride's Beautiful Homecoming!
Words by Courtney Kellar Words by Courtney CoxPhotos courtesy of Comfort Studio
Raquel and Bill were lucky enough to have not one beautiful wedding, but two! They held a traditional wedding in Calgary, but also opted for a smaller, tropical destination wedding in Costa Rica. Raquel is originally from Costa Rica and couldn’t imagine not holding an intimate ceremony in the beautiful city of Santa Teresa. The couple chose Casa Capitan as their venue and treated their guests to a beach ceremony and poolside reception.

Their wedding photos are stunning and a little self explanatory, so how about some background on the happy couple. Raquel and Bill met in their local gym and obviously share a love of physical activity. According to his bride, Bill is a bit shy so, when the time came, Raquel expected a private, but very romantic proposal.

Bill didn’t disappoint and Raquel came home to find him on one knee surrounded by candles and rose petals - a seriously romantic way to begin an engagement. If the newlywed’s life together is half as lovely as the proposal and wedding, they’re in for a happy journey. Thanks for sharing your wedding day with us at Destination I Do!
