We’ve got a little mini-roundup for all of you today. We’re going to review and share some products we recently tried that, in one way or another, will be helpful for your destination wedding or honeymoon. Both Salon Grafix and Hammocks & High Tea sent us some of their more popular products to try and review for all of you.
Hammocks & High Tea is a high-end Brooklyn company which focuses on organic textiles and natural scents. This holiday season they are premiering their “Fiesta” collection which will feature a reversible clutch ($169), chic drawer liners ($25) and tantalizing candles ($48).
The line's fully reversible clutch features soft leather on one side and a printed design on 100% organic cotton on the other. If you bridesmaids have fun and funky style, this clutch might be the perfect “thank you” gift!
Drawer liners don’t typically create a lot of excitement, but with Hammocks & High Tea’s high quality, natural liners your house guests will surely notice. This bestselling product is made with soy ink on 100% recycled paper. They come scented in Jasmine or Bitter Orange.
Our Editor in Chief, Jennifer Stein, has a few words about the liners, “I love the paper, it’s nice and thick, but unfortunately not adhesive. So, unless you glue them to the drawers, there is no way to make them stick. The chevron pattern is super stylish and relevant and looked great in my home.”
Hammocks & High Tea’s candles are new for this season and are made with soy wax and 100% essential oils. Each 16 oz candle boasts a burn time of 100+ hours and comes in a textured ceramic container. The container itself is gorgeous and is reusable once the candle is gone. This too would make a great gift and comes in the following three scents: Terai, Grasse and Ila.
Our editor in chief has a few comments about the candle we received. “The scent was soft and pretty – not in the least overwhelming. The container it comes in – a heavy, textured, brushed gold pot – is gorgeous and a luxurious accent for any room. My only issue with this candle was that the wick burned low right away and then I couldn’t get it to stay lit. For the price, that’s kind of a big problem.”
With a busy honeymoon abroad in mind, Salon Grafix sent us their popular dry shampoo. Using dry shampoo between washings can help your hair keep its essential oils without your hair looking greasy or grungy. It comes in a new travel size container which means no matter where you and your new spouse choose to honeymoon, this helpful product can come along.
Jennifer, our Editor in Chief, tried this product as well and weighed in on her experience. “For someone who has fine, blond hair, it’s fantastic It doesn’t leave any residue and smells heavenly. The only thing that worried me is it’s warning to not get it on clothing.”
Hopefully some or all of these products will inspire you in your gift-giving surrounding your destination wedding or honeymoon. Happy honeymooning!
