Destination Wedding: Utah, A Red Rock SettingWords by Courtney Kellar Words by: Kelly Ryan

A wide open field surrounded by mountainous red rocks creates the effect of being inside a gigantic football stadium. Instead of a game happening within the huge green crater, Marlee and Tyler are pledging their love for one another. Set on a golf course which emanates the epitome of a rustic country feel, the couple tied the knot in St. George, Utah.
Concerned about the number of guests who would be attending, the couple had to make sure the venue was large enough for everyone. “Oftentimes, resorts put limits on how many people the bride and groom can invite and Tyler and I both come from large families,” Marlee says. “We were so relieved to find out that Entrada would accommodate all of our needs and numbers.”
When it came down to choosing a venue, the couple didn’t even hesitate in picking the Inn at the Entrada, a resort in St.George, a well known vacation spot in Southern Utah. Their family and friends were able to make a mini vacation out of the couple’s destination wedding. Guests were able to carpool and only a few had to fly from distant places.
Surrounded by desert and loved ones, Marlee and Tyler were not planning on having a destination wedding. “The destination wedding chose us, actually!" Marlee says, "We entered (a contest) without really thinking we’d win, but were thrilled when we did. It ended up making a lot of sense, since both my husband and I have family from various parts of Utah and Southern California. St. George was a perfect middle point."
Hiring a destination wedding planner made it easy for the couple to sit back and enjoy their experience. Forevermore Events brought Marlee’s dream wedding to life as she left everything to them. Every aspect was taken care of, leaving her and her future hubby stress-free and able to enjoy their big day to its fullest. Croquet and cotton-candy kept the whipper-snappers busy while the older crowd, child-free, was able to catch up and enjoy the sunny spring day with the love-birds.
With all the minor details taken care of, Marlee and Tyler were foot-loose, fancy-free and able to kick back and have a blast with their guests. When it comes to planning a destination wedding Marlee had two pieces of advice, “Make sure you find an awesome photographer and wedding planner! Those two things will make all the difference. And have fun!”
