A Stunning Nantucket Celebration

Greg and Sarah hail from San Francisco, but traveled all the way to the island of Nantucket off the coast of Massachusetts for their destination wedding. What resulted was a day full of genuine cheer, radiant light and a chic event none of their guests will soon forget. To be honest, we at Destination I Do had a hard time narrowing down the photos to feature in this post – there was just too much gorgeousness to pick from!

For their “I do’s,” the couple selected the First Congregational Church on the island. The site’s historical nature and soaring white details conveniently fit the couple’s wedding style to a tee. After sealing the deal, Greg and Sarah raced out to the greeting of white rose petals and into a waiting old-fashioned car.

The couple clearly embraced their chosen locale with a classic color combination of white and navy blue. What’s been done before, however, somehow has a new and fresh take with this couple’s event. Perhaps it’s the soft island light which perfectly complimented their every detail. Cape Cod charm could be seen at every turn with an all-white tent, floral arrangements and stunning silver accents.

Guests were not only treated to a gorgeous event, but delicious local fare including freshly-shucked oysters. Greg and Sarah embraced their chosen destination in the best way possible – adopting the classic elements while adding their own unique touches like splashes of fuchsia. After all, if you’re going to travel the length of the U.S. for your destinationwedding, why not make the most of it? Thanks to the happy couple for sharing this one-of-a-kind event with us!
