A New York Hamptons Affair

Amanda and Nick grew up in completely different worlds – him in Brooklyn and her in Florida. For that reason, they really wanted to find a middle ground when it came to their wedding. Nick wanted to stay close to his roots, while a beach was essential for the bride. Their solution: a destinationwedding in Westhampton Beach, New York. The couple planned their entire chic seashell affair themselves.

Guests were greeted by hand-painted sea horse “welcome bags” which included a hangover kit (advil, tums and water), nuts, chocolate and sunscreen. They also brought a personal touch to their ceremony by mixing and matching frames filled with the wedding photos of their closest family and friends. They also kept their guests in mind by providing transportation throughout their destination wedding.

What resulted from the couple’s months of hard planning was a simple and chic wedding which embraced it’s seaside locale. Amanda looked gorgeous in her white Ramona Keveza gown and her bridesmaids’ sand-colored dresses fit the beach setting perfectly. This bride has some advice for other couples planning a destination wedding, “Do A LOT of research so you know what you want and what options you have. Also, be organized and prepared when you meet with your vendors.”
