Destination Wedding Mexico: A Cancun CelebrationWords by Courtney Kellar
Photos courtesy of Lauren Kinsey Photography Tracey and William knew having a destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico would come with lots of pros and a few cons. “We knew that we would have several family [members] and friends who would be unable to make it to our wedding, but at the end of the day, it was our decision and everyone supported us,” recalls the couple. “Those who could make it were there and those who couldn’t were sending us love and well wishes from afar.” Come W-day, Tracey and William were joined by 40 of their closest friends and family to say, “I do!”
William and Tracey embraced their destination by shopping locally for maracas for their guests’ favors and by putting together welcome bags. “We brought bags to Mexico which we filled with beach toys, SPF, aloe-vera, Sudoku puzzle books, Mexican candies, a mini sewing kit, local maps and other fun treats for our guests to make their stay that much more perfect.”
