Sareh Nouri's Romantic GownsWords by Alicia Clark
Photos courtesy of Emme Wynn Brides-to-be look high and low for a perfect wedding dress which will fit into their wedding dreams, but sometimes it’s impossible to find a dress that can live up to such expectations. Such was the case for Sareh Nouri, who had been obsessed with wedding gowns even before she got engaged. When Sareh was unable to find the gown she wanted, she took matters into her own hands and decided to design her own.
With a background in graphic design, Sareh launched herself into creating gorgeous gowns which would hopefully catch the eye of other brides in search of their own picture-perfect dress.
The Spring 2013 collection was inspired with the idea of a “vintage fairytale with a touch of sparkle” in mind and was made in the United States. Prices range from $3,500-$7,500.
Whether you’re a destination bride or not, these beautiful gowns will be sure to win your attention, and get the creative wedding juices flowing.
If you are going for a vintage feel, try the ‘Emma,’ which features a detachable bolero and delicate French Alencon lace. This dress carries an air of elegance and grace.
My personal favorite out of the collection is the ‘Carolyn.’ The ‘Carolyn’ (seen at bottom right) is my favorite due to the meticulously embellished bodice, and draping of silk tulle. How could you not feel like a princess wearing a dress as dazzling as this?
The ‘Sophie’ is a strapless ball gown made from silk organza, with a draped bodice. This dress is sure to catch your eye with its petal-like ruffled layers and unique color.
Another dress that particularly caught my eye is the ‘Soraya.’ This dress is equal parts, angelic and glam. With it’s crystalline bodice, and cloud-like skirt, this dress feels like something straight out of a fairy tale.
The asymmetrical, ‘Audrey,’ made from silk zibeline is a timeless piece perfect for nearly any style of wedding.
With a sweetheart neckline, silk tulle, and Chantilly lace, ‘Grace,’ exudes an aura of whimsical romance.
