As the famous saying goes, “‘Tis the season.” What better time to host a wedding celebration than in the midst of all the glitz and glam of the holidays? Besides, we can all use a little sparkle in our lives (especially in these difficult times). From the glittering lights to the eye-popping shimmering decorations to the glistening snow, Christmas is truly the most magical time of the year.

Even though the holiday season is the busiest time with all the cooking, decorating, and shopping, a Christmas wedding is the perfect option for any couple dreaming of having a winter wonderland theme.

We’ve compiled a list of the top six decor ideas to help you achieve a more festive wedding celebration!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

Nothing screams Christmas more than a Christmas tree. Whether you choose it as the backdrop while saying your “I do’s” or as the main attraction of your reception, a big tree will be sure to add a bit of dazzle to your wedding day. If you don’t want to go with the traditional Christmas tree, we suggest opting for a fun, colorful tree that will be sure to wow your guests. One example could be to have a white tree with ornaments in the color of your wedding palette.

Mistletoe & Kisses

“Kiss me underneath the mistletoe,’’ as famous pop singer Justin Bieber sang. From the moment you seal your love at the altar to your first dance and cutting the cake, your wedding day is filled with a lot of kisses. Mistletoe is the perfect addition to any Christmas wedding. A few great ways to include mistletoe are at the altar, the sweetheart table, or even in your bouquet. For couples who want to go down the more edgy route, hanging some mistletoe throughout your reception will surely spark some romance for your guests too!

A Chocolate Heaven

Winter weddings are sure to bring some chills to the party. One fun way to warm up your guests and add to your winter wonderland wedding is a hot chocolate bar.  Not only is this a fun detail to include at your reception, but it is sure to warm up your guests on the frosty winter day. Besides, who doesn’t love some hot chocolate? Don’t forget to add some marshmallows, candy canes, and sprinkles to add more flavor to your guests’ hot coco! To add some spice to your hot coco, we suggest adding some cinnamon and nutmeg.

I’ll Take The Gingerbread, Please!

One of the most important aspects of any wedding is, of course, the dessert table. Who doesn’t love some delicious wedding cake? Take traditional cupcakes, candy, and cake, adding some gingerbread to the mix will sprinkle some Christmas magic into your wedding. For extra holiday fun, we suggest incorporating a cute gingerbread house to your dessert table.

Let’s Go for a Sleigh Ride

“Just hear those sleigh bells jingling, ring ting tingling too.” Who says that sleigh rides are only for Santa Clause? If you are looking for an entertaining activity for your wedding reception, look no further because we have something that will leave your guests in awe. A magical sleigh ride in the white powdered snow or carriage ride through the chilly air is the ultimate wedding activity to ensure that your guests have a holly jolly time.

The Magic is in The Flowers

What makes a wedding pop more than flowers? From a bright bold color like red to delightful classics like white and pink, flowers are essential to any wedding celebration. Choosing seasonal florals like holly, amaryllis, poinsettias, or forget-me-nots will be sure to add some holiday cheer to your wedding.

What better way to celebrate the holiday season than tying the knot during “the most wonderful time of the year.’’
