9 Reasons to Hire a Wedding Planner
Words by Kacey MyaMany brides spend their days dreaming about where they'll host their wedding. Unless you're one of the few who have thought about your wedding for years, it may be hard to narrow down your venues from the worldwide selection you have to choose from.

After all, hosting a destination wedding is the fairytale that many brides dream about. You and your loved ones all get to celebrate your wedding in a picturesque venue that makes you feel like a queen. What's stopping you from signing for a venue right now?
The scary part about destination weddings is figuring out how to host an event in a place you've never been to before. That's where your planner comes in. Check out these nine reasons to get a destination wedding planner, so the wedding of your dreams comes together as easily as saying, "I do."
1. You'll Save Money
If you don't know what to expect from your venue, you'll most likely end up spending more money than you need to. It's also an unfortunate fact that wedding destination venues may charge a higher price if they know you're from out of town and don't know what you're doing.
The right wedding destination planner will know what should be included with the venue and what price other brides have scored in the past. Plus, they'll negotiate what you'll need to be included in the price so you don't have to overpay for things to be brought on-site when they're already in a backroom.
2. They Know the Venue
The destination planner you choose will have most likely worked with your venue before. That means they'll know if there's enough space for your caterer to work and how many seats the venue holds.
3. They've Worked with the Space
Another bonus of a planner is that they've worked with the venue space before. They'll know how to take care of the finer details to make your wedding more personalized, no matter what the venue space looks like.
4. They Know the Vendors
A planner will also know which vendors have worked at the venue before and what they charge. That helps you not go over budget and avoid last-minute problems like a caterer not having enough space to work.
5. They'll Know What Guests Need
You may not be able to predict what your guests will need after they travel to your venue, but a wedding planner will have solved problems before to meet previous guests' needs.
6. You'll Save Time
Brides sometimes waste time because of miscommunication between vendors, but your planner will know exactly when to hash out your plans and what to remind your vendors about.
7. They'll Estimate Your Budget
A planner will have worked with weddings of different sizes before. Once you tell them what your budget is, they'll know how much you'll be able to get with what you estimate your budget to be.
8. They Know the Laws
When you get married outside the US, the laws regarding the legality of your marriage may change. Your planner will know things like what paperwork needs to be filled out to avoid any problems once you're home again.
9. They'll Solve Your Problems
Last-minute things like finding a translator or needing emergency supplies won't be an issue if you have a planner that's solved it all before.
Reach Out to Planners
Contact a few different planners related to the venues you're interested in. See if they'll help with a wedding of your size for a price you can afford. They'll be worth every penny once you don't have to worry about the details of wedding planning.
