In the heart of the popular wedding destination of California, is Carmel Valley. Currently, beauty is growing back from the Carmel Fires, and vineyards and wineries are once again building and ready to host couples who travel from all over the world to have their destination wedding in Carmel.

Recently, a team of local wedding vendors came together to show future brides and grooms just how beautiful their wedding in these gorgeous California hills could be.

Dana Arnold, the photographer of the shoot, says, “The team really wanted to make a vision come to life. We are all struggling right now. Not with just the pandemic, but rebuilding the wedding industry in an area that was damaged by fires, landslides, and some flooding the past year. Coming together, we had a great time at this wedding shoot and loved that we could safely socialize while doing something we love to do.”

Below Dana walks us through each element of the shoot and explains how the designer and florist, Angie Lopez of Love and Flowers by Angie envisioned the event to flow if it were a real wedding:

A warm, blush and elegant style characterized this gorgeous wedding at Tira Nanza, a family-owned and operated winery.

First, the flay lay details. With a blush ribbon, a Mrs Box for the ring, and stationery kits, I was able to document the light, elegant details that brought out the full experience of a wedding day.

Let’s take you to the ceremony spot, where you find light green olive trees with a backdrop of the hills. Here, we placed two large floral arrangements with two large rocks, giving it a minimal yet elegant feel.

For dinner, everyone takes a seat at a wooden farm table to enjoy a lovely dinner on white plates paired with gold flatware. Surrounding you and your guests is a beautiful white barn with rustic brown doors. On the tables are three beautiful centerpieces with white, blush, and light greenery that brings a light and airy atmosphere to the reception.

At the wooden vintage-style dessert table are scones, pound cakes, lemon cookies and more– the perfect collection of treats for a delightful evening of socializing.

Finally, for golden hour (our favorite part of the day.) We take quads up the hills, past the regrowing trees and vines, to a shed with a wooden balcony that overlooks all of Carmel Valley. The perfect way to end a wedding day, embracing the sunset over the hills giving a natural and warm glow that is purely romantic moment.”
