When walking the path to lifelong love, there are often destinations that stick out and play pivotal roles in a couple’s journey. For Jacob and Dena their special location was the same place they chose to wed in; Los Cabos, Mexico.

“We traveled together to Los Cabos early on in our relationship, and it turned out to be a very special, bonding trip for us,” the bride says.

The couple’s original plans included a local wedding in Seattle, but the unruly weather and lack of venues that truly spoke to them led the two to seek out different options. With most of their friends being located abroad or scattered around the U.S., the couple knew that a wedding away from home would be the perfect fit. But, planning a destination wedding would take expertise they lacked.

“We would have been completely lost and in over our heads had it not been for the expertise of Pamela at Wedaways and the incredible customer service of our wedding coordinator, Julius Eliopoulos at the Sheraton Grand,” the bride says.

Their beautiful wedding adventure was met with minor turbulence as guests experienced delays at customs. The entourage, however, rebounded quickly from the airport mess and was ready to join in the celebration of Jacob and Dena.

The bride, dressed in a gorgeous laced white dress designed by Maggie Sottero, was surrounded by her gorgeous bridesmaids donning dresses in reds and oranges. The groom and groomsmen fit the beach wedding aesthetic in their beige tuxedos from The Black Tux, each with a splash of color from their JIM Weaver Designs pocket squares.

After beautiful wedding photos were taken, the couples’ friends and family joined them in a ceremony that included their love and pieces of their religion. Prior to the wedding, the couple spent many meetings with their Rabbi to validate the hebrew of their Ketubah, a Jewish wedding contract.

“We now have it framed and love looking at it every day.” the bride says.

As the ceremony came to a close and the couple shared their vows, everyone moved to the beachfront dance floor that was softly lit and decorated with splashes of colorful roses and tassels.

Everyone enjoyed a night of fun and cheerful dancing in celebration of the new couple, creating memories the couple believes are important to savor.

“What’s most important is that you’re surrounded by loved ones, including the person you’ve chosen to spend the rest of your life with,” the bride says. “Cherish the moment!”
