Jennifer and Mike had a pretty uneventful time planning their Negril, Jamaica destination wedding – just the way they wanted it. They found their venue, Moon Dance Cliffs, after doing some lengthy online research and ended up booking sight-unseen. The customer reviews were what convinced Jennifer and Mike that this was the venue for them and, thankfully, the flights to Jamaica were pretty convenient and inexpensive.

“Overall, planning a destination wedding was much less stressful. We left a lot of faith in our on-site wedding planner and she did not disappoint,” says the couple. In order to streamline the entire process, the couple kept décor to a minimum to avoid having to bring too many things with them. What resulted was a chic white and coral affair.

The couple and their friends did contribute one details to the wedding which was an enormous hit. “We hand-painted maracas for the guests to shake when we walked into the reception,” say the newlyweds. “Since we got married on Cinco de Mayo, we thought it would be a fun way to tie-in the holiday even though we weren’t getting married in Mexico.”

In the end, all Jennifer and Mike needed come W-day was each other, the sunshine and their guests’ blessings. They don’t question their decision to get married away for a second. Not only do they feel they spent less money, but they got three quality days with their guests instead of just one. The couple’s main words of advice does back to research, “Read lots of reviews and look for pictures online from recent weddings at your potential venue.”
