Anchors Away

A destination wedding in a tropical locale while out at sea was exactly what Valerie and Blair invisioned when they decided they wanted a unique wedding. “We wanted something different, exotic and simple,” says the bride. An incredibly supportive group of family and friends, ecstatic for their adventure upon the Royal Caribbean, packed their bags for the trip of a lifetime.

Docked in St. Thomas Virgin Islands, Valerie and Blair were able to have the best of both worlds with their sea-to-shore nuptials. Planning this destination wedding was also amazingly simple. Royal Caribbean handled all the vendor relations so the couple did not have to worry about the logistics when it came to planning a wedding from afar.
With a destination wedding, Valerie and Blair were able to host a much more intimate and exclusive event, saving money in the end. “We knew when we booked a destination wedding, it would cut down the numbers and result in our closest friends and family,” says Valerie. The couple wanted to avoid routine with a more traditional wedding, which is exactly what they accomplished with their wedding weekend aboard a ship.
As for other couples hosting a destination wedding, “Don’t fuss the small details!” says Valerie. Valerie and Blair were able to host their dream wedding in an exotic location with their nearest and dearest: absolutely everything they had hoped for.
