With a passion to travel and a desire to treat friends and family to an unforgettable adventure abroad, Morgan and William chose Costa Rica as the locale for their destination wedding. Although neither of their parents were crazy about the idea at first, as the bride's mother had always dreamed of her little girl marrying in a chapel in their hometown of Seattle, after a trip to Villa Caletas, everything changed.
One of Morgan’s friends had recommended Villa Caletas, as it was a stunning venue that would allow for all guests to stay in the same place. “My husband and I wanted a warm, exotic, adventurous location that wasn’t too far away or expensive and Costa Rica fit the bill perfectly. Our guests filled every villa at Hotel Villa Caletas so we got to throw a series of intimate parties just for our guests,” recalls the bride.
Morgan was able to enhance the personality of her day with her creativity. She painted place cards with a beautiful watercolor wash that reflected their invitations. Being a jewelry maker, she also created one-of-a-kind pieces for all twelve of her bridesmaids.
“After our ceremony in Costa Rica, both sets of parents came to me and said our wedding was so beautiful, fun, meaningful and perfect for us and that they completely understood why we did it,” says the bride of her special day. “If we would have had our wedding in Los Angeles or Seattle, our guest list would have tripled so we would have lost the intimacy we craved. At the end of the day, its about you and your groom-to-be! Follow your heart and have fun.”Vendors: Photographer: A Brit & A Blonde Photography, Wedding Planner: Weddings Costa Rica, Ceremony/Reception Site: Zephyr Palace, Florist: Son Soles Florista, Stationery: Ceci New York, Cake: Mariposa Bakery, Hair: Xinia Chacon, Make up: Karina Moore, Gown Designer: Les Habitudes (wedding dress and reception dress), Groom’s Clothing Designer: Calvin Klein, Flower Girl Dresses: Mia Loren Boutique
