This couple had a beautiful Florida wedding with flattering DIY décor and the perfect amount of love and support. “…having our wedding in one central location that was sunny and vacation-like made the most sense,” says the couple.

Scott and Dena’s family were thrilled to share in the couple’s destination wedding.  “Plus, no one was complaining about a trip to Florida when you live in Iowa and New York all year,” says the bride.

Their wedding venue was the Center for the Arts at Old School Square in Delray Beach with its historic charm and a vintage vibe. “The location we choose was across the street from one of our favorite restaurants and when we found out they allow weddings there, it was the first and only venue we visited,” says Dena. “We choose a hotel within walking distance of the venue. The venue is located in a small beach town that has restaurants, bars, shopping and the beach at your fingertips, so once they got to the hotel, [our guests] didn't need a car for anything. It really allowed everyone to feel [as though] they were on vacation and also made it easy for them meet others attending the wedding.”

This lovely couple’s hard work surely paid off because the wedding was beautifully executed. They planned the wedding, décor and details all themselves. “Looking back it really took up more time then we thought it would, but in the end it was all worth it!” says the bride. “I did have a journal that I carried with me everywhere and was everything wedding! If I lost that book we would be in trouble, but it was great to have everything in one place and the best part is I now have it as a keepsake.”

The destination wedding was beautiful and the décor was stunning. This day will truly be a memory Scott and Dena won’t soon forget.
