A Dana Point Destination Wedding

With family living all over the world, it can be tricky to find a wedding location that works for everyone. However, for newlyweds Pavandeep and Akal, a Dana Point destination wedding ended up being a perfect fit.

“We picked a location with a nearby international airport, which made things easier for our family flying from all over,” says the couple.
Like many others, Pavandeep and Akal’s top suggestion for those planning a destination wedding is to hire a wedding planner who you feel comfortable with. None of the newlywed’s immediate family live in California, so trusting their wedding planner to coordinate guest details was a huge help.
In terms of coordinating with the vendors, Pavandeep and Akal agree that their wedding planner helped them stay organized through the process.
“She would also set up conference calls periodically along the way,” says the couple. “She had an awesome google sheet that had a timeline of things all the way up to the week of the wedding.”
Because Pavandeep and Akal knew they wanted the occasion to be outdoors, they considered the time of year and decided to have their wedding in April.
“California’s weather is typically perfect that time of year,” says the pair.
Overall, they enjoyed their Dana Point destination wedding and the beautiful setting it provided.
