An Intimate Destination Wedding

When Paul and Lindsey set out to plan their perfect destination wedding, they had two things in mind. The first was to keep the wedding small and intimate, the second was Jamaica.

“We knew right away that we wanted a destination wedding,” the couple said. “We wanted a small, intimate ceremony at a beautiful beach location.”
Jamaica fit the bill perfectly. In the presence of only immediate family, overlooking sparkling topaz water and surrounded by Jamaica’s natural beauty, Paul and Lindsey said their “I do’s.”
If the couple could put their experience of planning a destination wedding into words, the two they would choose would be “fun and relaxed.” By going with the flow and using helpful destination wedding websites like destinationweddings.com, the couple was able to pull off the wedding of their dreams. Paul and Lindsey coordinated with vendors and their hotel mainly via email and with help from online wedding resources.
The décor for this beach wedding was kept to a minimum. “We really wanted to keep the decorations in Jamaica simple – we knew the scenery itself was amazing,” the couple said. One of the most important decisions the couple made was choosing the perfect photographer, so every special moment would be captured and stored away for a lifetime of happy memories.
Before going to Jamaica, Paul and Lindsey held an at-home reception, something Lindsey encourages other destination brides to do. “After all, how many brides get to wear their dress and celebrate twice?”
For advice, the couple hopes other Destination I Do-ers will relax, have a good time and try to remember every moment.
