If you are struggling to find a special way to propose (especially during COVID), we have a suggestion that is sure to feel like a fairytale for both of you. The first annual Garden of Lights festival in Redding, California is happening from November 27 to December 27, and the Sheraton Redding at Sundial Bridge has a proposal package curated just for you!

Make sure you and your soon-to-be betrothed bundle up before taking a stroll down the magical path of light displays (the pocket of a puffy jacket will be the perfect place to hide the ring box as well.) Take lots of deep breaths (discreetly, if possible) as you two enjoy the world-class holiday lighting designs and natural wildlife/plant themed exhibits unique to the region. When you’ve reached the Arboretum, this is the big moment. Kneel down in front of a magical backdrop adorned with thousands of twinkling lights and, go ahead, pop the question!

Once they’ve said “yes, yes, yes” and you have taken a few sweet photos (and had a few sweet smooches), warm up by the fire with s’mores and holiday tunes. Take a short walk to your deluxe overnight accommodations to enjoy sparkling wine upon arrival. In the morning, have breakfast in bed or at the hotel’s signature Mosaic restaurant for two.

This package includes two adult tickets to the Garden of Lights and starts at $249 per night.
