With its serene landscape, luminous sunshine, and picturesque wind farm stretching for miles, Palm Springs is the ideal dreamy desert oasis for a destination wedding.

Stevi and Daylan wanted to have a destination wedding, but wanted, even more, to be with their close family as they exchanged their vows. Because traveling out of the country proved to be complicated for some guests, the bride and groom decided on a more accessible–yet breathtaking–location. Palm Springs is the perfect place for this.

“We still wanted that getaway feeling,” Stevi says, “And Palm Springs fit us perfectly.”

The pair loves to travel and originally looked into getting married in Tulum, Mexico, where they were engaged. A desert dweller through and through, Stevi was already a fan of Palm Springs. It felt like the next natural choice for their destination nuptials.

“What can I say, we like our sunshine!” Stevi says.

The couple weren’t the only ones excited about the warm desert sun. Stevi and Daylan were relieved to receive positive feedback from friends and family when announcing their Palm Springs destination wedding plans. The bride and groom decided to be their own wedding planners, using Yelp to pinpoint potential vendors and Pinterest to gather design inspiration.

“At the end of the day, we felt that it was our wedding, and we wanted to stay true to what was right for us,” the couple says.

Towards the beginning of their planning journey, Stevi and Daylan fell in love with a venue, which they describe as a hidden gem of a hotel.

“It really is a quaint oasis. It was perfect for the intimate, al fresca dinner party we envisioned for our wedding,” the couple says.

The pair wanted to play off the desert landscape, so they decided to create their own personal touches; making their wedding signs, seating chart, table numbers and table decor of various elements from local stores.

Stevi and Daylan did end up devoting most of their time to make their dream wedding a reality. However, they made sure not to skimp on spending quality time together, planning an extra trip to Palm Springs just to do a food tasting and enjoy each other’s company.

The careful planning, extra time spent at their venue, and support of their family and friends paid off. Stevi and Daylan’s Palm Springs wedding was nothing short of captivating.

“We loved everything about how our wedding turned out,” the couple says. “It really felt magical because of where and when it happened, and who was there.”
