Your wedding day will be perfect no matter the season, but getting married in the wintertime is an absolute must for some brides looking for that magical winter wonderland wedding. Brides in search of the perfect winter wedding venue need look no further than Carton House, one of Ireland’s finest wedding venues.
The scenic 1,100-acre private parkland estate, located just a 25-minute drive from Dublin, offers an enchanting setting to tie the knot in the rolling hills of the Kildare countryside. From November to February, Ireland’s northern latitude creates a rich winter light that has been praised by writers and painters throughout history. At Carton House, couples can enjoy the mild winter climate and majestic landscapes with the perfect balance of old-world charm in the original Manor House – once the ancestral seat of the Earls of Kildare and Dukes of Leinster – and contemporary sophistication in the new wing of the hotel with recently refreshed Carton Suite Ballroom and guestrooms. Whether it be for intimate ceremonies of up to 100 or large receptions of up to 300, every possible amenity will be made available with the help of an on-site wedding specialist to ensure the bride and groom have the fairytale wedding of their dreams. The resort will provide tasteful seasonal touches throughout the entire experience to create a sense of place throughout the historic estate, such as mulled wine upon arrival and candelabras adorning each table at the reception illuminate the winter night. The bride, groom and their guests will also have access to an array of pre- and post-wedding activities unique to the destination, including private whiskey tastings in the Whiskey Library, cocktail making classes, championship golf, falconry, afternoon tea and more.

Couples can either work with the wedding specialist to create a customized celebration or opt for the Winter Romance package. The package is available for all dates in November, January, February and March and includes a minimum number of 60 guests midweek and 80 guests on weekends. The package also includes the following:
- Glass of house wine or spiced mulled wine on arrival
- Selection of sandwiches, tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival
