Mexico is one of the most popular destinations for honeymoons and destination weddings – and for good reason! Thankfully, a luxe resort in one of Mexico’s most romantic regions is now offering three romantic honeymoon experiences. Las Ventanas al Paraiso, in Los Cabos, releases a new collection of "once-in-a-lifetime experiences" for its guests twice a year. The offerings are meant to enhance your experience of the culture and history of Baja. For this summer, they have a romantic slant and are perfect for destination wedding couples or honeymooners. The three experiences are:
- 60 Fingers Massage: Las Ventanas al Paraiso pairs its distinguished reputation as a luxurious spa destination with Mexico’s reverence for classical guitar in one of the resort’s most relaxing and innovative couples’ treatments yet. Four massage therapists combine their expertise to offer the couples’ massage of a lifetime. Set up on the private rooftop terrace of the couple’s room, the treatment surrounds the couple with sunset, tropical breeze, and peaceful hum of the live music from the Luna Brothers that has been specially composed to time with the flow of the massage.
- Create Your Own Tenango Linen: Located in central eastern Mexico, Tenango de Doria is a vibrant municipality known for its beautiful, colorful hand-woven embroidery. This summer, Las Ventanas al Paraiso brings this exquisite Mexican art to the resort and allows guests to design tenangos of their own. A skilled tenango artisan will teach guests about the history, cultural significance and technique, and will assist guests in choosing patterns and colors for a tablecloth, napkins or other linens to design and bring home as an authentic Mexican treasure. The linens are the perfect souvenirs for newlyweds starting a home together.
- Surfing in Paradise: Los Cabos is known for offering some of the world’s most breathtaking surfing and Las Ventanas al Paraiso’s new surfing excursion is perfect for newlyweds looking for a more adventurous honeymoon. They begin with a stunning drive up the pristine white sand coasts of the Sea of Cortez. Then, an expert surfing instructor guides guests through Nine Palms, Shipwrecks and La Fortuna – the three breaks that famously draw surfers to Baja. Following the morning’s lesson, couples enjoy a flavorful picnic lunch prepared by Las Ventanas’ renowned chef, and they can take home professional photographs of the day’s adventures. These experience become available in June 2016, so visit rosewoodhotels.com/las-ventanas-los-cabos for more information. As for pricing, the 60 Fingers Massage is $980 USD for two guests, Surfing in Paradise is $850 USD + tax and service charge, and the Tenango Linen creation varies based on the project chosen. Your finished products will then be delivered to your home.
