The flower girl is always a crowd favorite at weddings, so it’s important to make sure her dress/outfit is just-so! Since most destination weddings are more casual than a traditional hometown wedding, there’s really no limit to how you can dress your cutest attendant. What is important, however, is that your flower girl is just in a look which suits your wedding style and is of finer quality than an everyday outfit.
We recently came across the children’s couture clothing line Pale Cloud and absolutely fell in love with their modern styles, but child-friendly silhouettes. Best of all, each of their pieces is constructed with only the finest fabrics including silk, cashmere and leather. The more casual flower girl looks would be perfect for a beachside wedding and the craftsmanship makes them appropriate for a more formal event such as a wedding.
The line, which launched in 2010, specializes in girls’ clothing ages 2-12 years-old. The Norwegian designer brings European elegance to childrens’ wear and aims to “make a return of the evening glamour in everyday dressing.” The Spring/Summer 2013 collection (seen here) is inspired by the relaxed silhouettes of the 1960s. The fabrics stand out here with printed silk chiffons, sheep leather, tailored linen and cashmere yarn blends. The colors are kept sophisticated and wedding friendly in soft shades of grey, pink, tan and dusty blues.
