Welcome Advice

The experts over at destinationweddings.com know what they’re talking about when it comes to destination weddings and it’s their job to help couples find the perfect destination for them. When we asked Megan Velez with Destination Weddings Travel Group to weigh-in on some thoughts about the Cayman Islands, this is what she had to say:

  • “English is the official language in the Cayman Islands and the U.S. dollar is widely accepted, so it’s the perfect place for travelers to get lost in another culture while still feeling comfortable enough to explore on their own.”
  • “Traveling to the Cayman Islands is as simple as ensuring your U.S. passport is packed in your carry-on. Flights are generally accessible from all major cities in the country. For those jetting off for their ‘I do’s,’ they just need a passport and a non-residents marriage license, as well as a divorce or death decree if applicable.”
  • “With an average temperature range of 78 to 82 degrees F in the winter and 82 to 86 degrees F in the summer, it’s easy to see why the Cayman Islands are considered the ultimate paradise. Keep in mind that hurricane season does run from June to November, so it may be worth planning your celebration around those months.”
  • “The Cayman Islands are home to some of the world’s most stunning and beautiful beaches, and it should come as no surprise that this southern archipelago is the idyllic destination for weddings and honeymoons. With colorful marine life and exotic wildlife, there is plenty to see on both land and sea in the Cayman Islands and, with access to premier beaches and dive points, it’s easy to find yourself lost in paradise.”
