There are lots of ways to commemorate a special occasion, but one that’s sure to be a crowd pleaser is a fabulously scented candle. Whether you’re looking to thank your bridesmaids or celebrate your W-Day, any of the following brands are special enough to gift. Establishing a signature scent for your destination wedding or honeymoon would be a great way to relive those moments over and over. Here are some of our top picks:

This line is perfect for the old fashioned type or someone looking to add to a room’s lovely décor. Peacock Parfumerie is an artisan fragrance company that is inspired by “art nouveau glamour and bohemian romance.” They’ve blended natural botanicals with classic fragrances to create a product worthy of gifting. We were impressed by the Viola Queen Charlotte Botanist Candle ($36), which is part of the Botanist Collection. It’s gorgeous to display and has a classically beautiful scent. Another favorite was the Balsam & French Sage Nathalie Lete Decorative Tin Candle ($32), which is part of the Nathalie Lete collection. This has a strong, pleasant scent without being overpowering – a difficult balance to achieve.

Organized by Fragrance Collections, it’s easy to pinpoint the right scent for the person you’re shopping for with Rosy Rings. In addition to candles, they also sell reed diffusers and sachets. The Botanical Candles are what really stand out and would make a gorgeous gift. We were impressed with both the Beach Daisy Botanical Candle and the Red Currant & Cranberry Botanical Candle ($44-88). If you’re looking for something a little more travel-friendly, Rosy Rings also offers the majority of their scents in Travel Tins ($10). Apricot Rose was a favorite around the office.

Perfect for the sassy gals in your life, Evil Queen candles will have you rolling with laughter, while wondering in their scent. Designed to be “candles with attitude” to encourage people to “lighten up,” an Evil Queen candle would make for a great bachelorette gift. They come in various themes, so you could also commemorate your engagement (“OMG YOU’RE ENGAGED“) or celebrate traveling for your destination wedding (“ADVENTURE AWAITS“). They’re made with 100% soy wax and the fragrances are free of harmful chemicals. A lot of the scents are currently sold out on the website, but keep your eyes peeled for new additions. My personal favorite was “DAMN IT’S EARLY” – a scent comprised of “coffee beans, hazelnut and tears.” My only complaint is that the candle burned quite quickly (because I was burning it all-day, every-day), so you might want to order multiples of your favorite scents. All candles start at $18.

Inspired by different destinations around the world, Archipelago offers bath & body products and diffusers, in addition to candles. The destination collection include Havana, Stonehenge, Dubai, Savannah, Fiji, Bali, Charleston and more. The sophisticated and sleek packaging is perfect for the more discerning bride or bridesmaid. Monogramming is available with a variety of styles and fonts. The majority of scents are also available in convenient travel tins (travel tins starting at $13).
