It’s that time again – time for another fabulous issue of Destination I Do! Today marks the launch of our Fall/Winter 2013 issue and we’re beyond thrilled for our readers to see what the heck we’ve been doing for the past few months. Inside you’ll find all the usual goodies: Honeymoon Hideaways, Ask the Expert, Blush & Bashful (etiquette), Fashion Forward and, of course, Real Weddings – just to name a few.
But, first things first, let’s talk about our amazing Fall cover! This Fly Away With Me Parisian shoot is one of three inspiring shoots in our Fashion Forward section and was shot by the lovely and talented Alea Lovely Fine Art Photography. Shot on location at the infamous Eiffel Tower in the original City of Love, this cover is sure to inspire any romantic or travel-hungry couple! Stay tuned to our blog for a special preview of each of our three Fashion Forward shoots in the upcoming weeks.
Inside our Fall/Winter 2013 issue, you’ll find our Guest Book pages dedicated to all the latest-and-greatest mobile apps/websites which will quickly become instrumental in the planning of your destination wedding or honeymoon. From an app to organize every detail of your travel, to a customized mobile site dedicated to your wedding, these mobile apps are both fun and functional!
When it comes to idyllic destinations for your wedding away, this issue we’re featuring locations with Laid-Back Luxury. For these properties, you’ll be treated like royalty without having to worry about wearing your Sunday best. Get all the creature comforts of home, but with outstanding service at places like a high-end guest ranch in Montana, a Mediterranean escape in Scottsdale, romantic Rancho Santa Fe in California, saucy San Francisco, over-the-top Las Vegas, North Carolina’s Crystal Coast and historic Rhode Island.
For our Honeymoon Hideaways features, we kept things not just romantic, but adventurous! Spread your intrepid newlywed wings to explore destinations like Morocco, Tuscany, Fiji and French Polynesia. Looking for something closer to home? We’ve also got features on the Caribbean and Mexico.
Last, but certainly not least, is our bread-and-butter, so to speak – Real Weddings! While this round-up is meant to inspire and amaze our readers, it also impacts us. We’re constantly in awe of the creativity, adventurous spirit and just-plain smarts of our real wedding couples! From a couple who said “I do” at a historic family homestead in Maui, lovebirds who took their vows to Krabi, Thailand and sugary-sweet Palm Springs nuptials, to a classic Wine Country wedding in Santa Ynez, a detail-heavy rustic affair in New Egypt, New Jersey, an uber glam event in Palm Beach, a European wedding in Belgium, and romantic Lake Tahoe event – there’s something to be had no matter your wedding or travel tastes.
There’s no way for us to include every bit of juicy content here in one blog post, so to see what else our Fall/Winter 2013 issue has to offer – you’ll just have to get your tail out there and buy one! Don’t have the time? No problem, click here to subscribe and we’ll deliver an issue right to your doorstep. Excitingly enough, we’re also offering a digital edition of our magazine! For a small fee, you can access the digital edition right from your computer. No lines, no waiting, it’s instant satisfaction!
We at Destination I Do would like to take a moment to thank all of our readers and contributors – old and new, for the continuing support of our magazine, website and blog. It’s been a big year with amazing destinations, a brand-spankin’ new website and endless inspiration. Not many people can say they love what they do, but for each and every one of us, it’s true and all thanks to you!
