When it comes to beauty products, it’s sometimes tough to know what’s worth shelling out for. We were recently introduced to a line of body products called RITUALS and it’s most definitely worth trying in the months leading up to your destination wedding. The line’s many collections would also make great gifts for your devoted bridesmaids or other supporters. RITUALS has three collections in all: Ayurveda, Laughing Buddha and Sakura,

The Ayurveda collection is based on the “world’s oldest medical science” and consists of trusted detoxifying and nurturing elements to release blocked energy and thus provided peace and stability. We tried both the Shanti Shower and Himalaya Wisdom from this collection. Shanti Shower ($15) is an ultra-soft shower paste with scents of Indian Rose and Sweet Almond Oil. It will leave your skin smelling beautiful and feeling silky smooth. The Himalaya Wisdom ($25) is a crystal salt body scrub perfect for a hot bath after a long day of wedding planning. The ultra-soft scrub has a cooling effect and the scents of Fresh Mint and Holy Basil will stimulate the body’s energy and release toxins.

The Laughing Buddha products are appropriately sunny and are designed to awaken your senses and create positive energy. Each of the different oils, scrubs and creams are infused with citrus fruits and will leave you both feeling and smelling amazing. We tried the Touch of Happiness whipped body cream ($25) and this heavily scented cream went on smoothly and lasted all day. It contains a unique blend of antioxidants and Vitamin E and has a Sweet Orange and Cedar Wood scent. The strengthening ingredient, Centella Asiatica, has a special technology which makes this whipped cream east to apply.

The Sakura collection is named after the iconic Japanese cherry blossoms and symbolizes the awakening of nature and that life must be enjoyed. This collection incorporates nourishing rice milk into many of the products and is the lightest scent of any of the three collections. We tried the Xio Xi calming body and massage oil ($19) which contains calming White Lotus and Yi Yi Ren which will nourish your skin and leave it rehydrated.

After trying out the different RITUALS products, our skin was left noticeably softer and the unique scents lasted all day. If you’re not a fan of strongly scented products, RITUALS might not be for you. However, the Ayurbeda collection had the added bonus of not only leaving me feeling great, but my bathroom smelling amazing! Any of the RITUALS scrubs, oils, creams, mists etc. are more than worthy of gift-giving and will likely make themselves a permanent part of your pampering routine.
