Spring 2018 Issue Available Now!Words by Courtney Kellar
There may be six more weeks of winter in store according to Punxsutawney Phil, but we’re gearing up for spring! In fact, our Spring 2018 issue hits newsstands today! So, how do you know if Destination I Do is for you? If you’re planning a destination wedding, honeymoon or want to book the ultimate romance adventure, then you should definitely check out our latest issue. It also happens to be a special edition – The Fashion Issue! The magazine includes four gorgeous photo shoots to inspire you to plan your own dream event, as well as fashion etiquette, a guide for winter wedding style and much more.
Speaking of fashion, our Spring 2018 cover is a real stunner! It features a shot from one of four Fashion Forward photo shoots – Scotland: Magic on the Isle of Skye. The bride’s succulent floral crown by Tupelo Tree is everything and a solid alternative to a traditional veil. She’s wearing a gown by Maria Korovilas and holding a bouquet also by Tupelo Tree. Her hair and makeup are both by Bee Bonnie. The photo shoot itself was planned and designed by Mango Muse Events and the stationery, art direction and styling is courtesy of Momental Designs. The image was captured by the talented Danielle Coons Photography. For a behind the scenes look at the photo shoot, check out the video below by Greg Bell.
If you can make it beyond the glossy cover, you’ll find lots of goodies inside this issue! We’ve got a wonderful batch of features that include a variety of destinations. For example, features include Fanciful Florida, Luxury Scenic Style, Family Friendly Finds and Romantic Waterfront Resorts. Whether you’re looking to host a wedding away in New Orleans, West Virginia, St. Lucia or Slovenia, we’ve got you covered!
Our trusty departments are also back, offering the latest and greatest in fashion, etiquette, honeymoon destinations and more. Be sure to check out our newest article from The Honeymoonist dedicated to up-and-coming domestic destinations, our Ask the Expert story all about selecting must-have wedding attire and much more. And, of course, our Real-Life Weddings section is also back. As an added bonus, we have a whopping eight real weddings in this issue – a seaside stunner on California’s Newport Coast, a luxe Maui, Hawaii celebration, a colorful Punta Mita, Mexico beachfront fiesta, a sentimental soirée in Adairsville, Georgia, a boho chic event in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, a coastal charmer in Key West, Florida, nautical nuptials in St. John, USVI and a classically chic event in Palm Beach, Florida.
Like we mentioned above, this issue is also dedicated to all things fashion, so our Fashion Forward section is also bigger and better than ever – featuring four gorgeous photo shoots: Scotland: Magic on the Isle of Skye, Island Style in Lanai, The Bold & The Beautiful in Santa Barbara, and Edgy Inspiration in Palm Springs! You’ll find over 30 pages of fashion inspiration in the Spring 2018 issue to really get your creative juices flowing, so if you’re still trying to pin-down your destination wedding style, we’re here to help!
