Your diamond engagement ring will most likely be the most important fashion statement you make in your life. Do you want something classic, modern, trendy or vintage? With trends coming and going it can be tough to set yourself apart, while picking a design that will stand the test of time. We recently came across a designer who is changing the face – literally – of the diamond industry. Christopher Designs is known for their trademark Crisscut® stone. Most recently, this technique was introduced in the brand’s L’Amour diamond. It’s design features 50 facets and two straight sides with subtle curvatures at the top and bottom that create a brilliant reflection completely different than traditional faceted diamonds.
Another major difference between traditionally cut diamonds and a crisscut diamond is the sizing. L’amour diamonds are available in a range of sizes and styles, with sizing 40 to 50 percent larger than comparable emerald-cut diamonds. Crisscut diamonds are also a fraction of the price of traditionally cut diamonds. Both of these points mean you get more bang for your buck, so-to-speak. The L’Amour diamond collections include bold, modern stones set within classic settings. Thus, you can make a statement in a timeless way. Crisscut diamonds are one-of-a-kind, larger in appearance and reflect light from every angle. A L’amour crisscut diamond is certainly unique and won’t be a fit for everyone’s engagement ring. However, Christopher Designs also includes their patented diamonds in wedding bands, earrings, necklaces and other pieces of statement jewelry that might be beautiful accessories come W-Day.
We’ve selected some of our favorite pieces from Christopher Designs’ L’Amour collections. Just click “more photos” above. For more information on the brand, their patented crisscut diamonds and the latest collections, visit lamourcrisscut.com.
