With all the planning done, you can focus on getting wedding-day ready from head-to-toe. Every bride imagines having their ideal body, with arms and thighs that will beg to be shown off. Good news, the award-winning Spa at Beverly Wilshire provides a pre-wedding treatment where you can consult with a therapist and determine a "target tone" for your ideal look.
Partnered with jeweler David Webb, the Beverly Wilshire has rolled out the Targeted Toning Treatment Package that uses products and technology from a luxurious British skincare brand, ELEMIS. The treatment uses detoxification and beautification customized to each individual specifically targeted at all aspects of aging and lifestyle concerns. According to ELEMIS, the process is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of cellulite by 59 percent and soften wrinkles and fine lines.
According to Annet King, Vice President of Global Education for ELEMIS, you can take the treatment right up until the morning of the ceremony.
“There is no downtime, no redness, no chance of irritation or puffiness. Instead, your skin, arms or thighs will be sleeker, firmer, smoother and simply radiant,” King says.
The Spa at Beverly Wilshire is one of three spas in Los Angeles with a Five-Star award from Forbes Travel Guide, most likely for its personalized service. According to the Wilshire, their take on “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue,” with their extensive package will be sure to impress:
The Targeted Toning Treatment starts with a dry brush on the skin to increase circulation, move lymphatic fluid and remove old, dead skin cells. This activates the sweat glands to push out toxins and also aids in evening skin tone. A Targeting Toning Cellulite Cream is then applied using Nigari Salt to stimulate cell detoxification, decongesting the skin and toning the body.
To improve the appearance of cellulite, a Targeted Toning Serum is next applied which uses caffeine, known for its diuretic activity, to help tackle orange-peel skin, as well as an award-winning extract cultivated from Jania Rubens, calcified red algae, to boost the skin’s natural hydration reservoirs and stimulate collagen production. The Targeted Toning Cellulite Peel-Off Mask follows by using a cryotherapy technique that reduces inflammation, moves toxins faster and speeds up the body’s natural healing process.
Borrowing from advances in technology pioneered by ELEMIS, a results-driven facial using three modalities from the ELEMIS Biotec Machine begins as the mask sets. Microcurrent is used for firming and lifting. Galvanic propels high-potent actives deep into the skin, minimizing lines, wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation and sensitivity. The ultrasonic resurfacing will deep-cleanse and exfoliate the skin while drawing out impurities. Light therapy includes red light to stimulate collagen and increase cell renewal. Blue light soothes, calms, reduces inflammation and is anti-bacterial. Oxygen infusion drives high-potent actives to restore elasticity, stimulate tissue repair, heal and rebalance the skin.
The Targeted Toning Package is comprised of six treatments, three to four weeks in advance of the big event. Guests are encouraged to bring a photo of themselves in their gown before treatment begins and a Spa Therapist will tailor the areas of treatment based on the photo. Upon completion of the Targeted Toning Treatment Package, guests will receive a two-tiered blue leather David Webb jewellery box lined with blue ultra-suede to house their wedding or event accessories. Guests may opt to receive a personalized, Champagne tour of the nearby, David Webb jewelery store as well.
Prices start at $505 for a 90-minute treatment targeting arms or abdomen, and $680 for a 120-minute treatment targeting thighs. The full six-series package starts at $3,030 for the 90 minutes per session package and goes up to $4,080 for the 120 minutes per session package.
