Miami-based LGBTQ lifestyle influencer and beloved television host for NBCUniversal Telemundo’s national En Casa Con Telemundo show, Carlos Adyan, married his partner Carlos Quintanilla of Sony Pictures, in the magical city of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. After, the couple will jet-set for their honeymoon on the beautiful island of Curaçao. In celebration of Pride Month, we wanted to ask this star-studded couple about their decision to select this Caribbean paradise for their romantic getaway and where they’ll be staying on the island!

What about Curaçao compelled you/ made you want to book this location for your honeymoon? 

“Curaçao has always intrigued me. Growing up on an island myself, I’ve naturally felt a connection to other island destinations. Both having worked in television and me personally being a long-time presenter of the Miss Universe pageants for Telemundo, what truly put Curaçao on the map for us and piqued our interest in the island was Gabriela Dos Ramos, Miss Curaçao 2022, and her remarkable achievement of making it to the Top 5 in Miss Universe pageant the same year. Her success led us to research the island, and not long after, it was on our bucket list.”

How did you hear about your chosen resort? 

“We discovered the Curaçao Marriott Beach Resort while researching the island’s top places for romance and honeymoon stays. It stood out immediately with its stunning views and oceanfront location (and direct beach access, which isn’t as common in Curaçao, we learned). Its location only five minutes from Curaçao’s capital, Willemstad, makes it perfect for exploring, and its extensive amenities, such as two swimming pools and Goby Divers outpost right on the property, also make it an oasis. It was an easy choice for our stay.”

What are you most looking forward to? 

“Beyond the breathtaking resort, I’m excited about the excursions, especially the snorkeling and scuba excursion with Goby Divers, and the local cuisine. We’re also going to explore the local scene and culture on a night out in Willemstad. As a cheese enthusiast, I’m eager to try the renowned Keshi Yena, which has received rave reviews.”
