Jenna and Zach’s love story began with a “God wink” two years before their actual meet-cute. A chance encounter during a college visit blossomed into a connection years later, fueled by a late-night car ride and undeniable sparks. Fast forward six years, and this Texas couple found themselves saying “I do” in the breathtaking scenery of Oahu, Hawaii.
Their original destination wedding plans for Maui hit a snag with the 2023 wildfires, but Jenna and Zach’s resilience shone through. In just 25 days, they replanned their entire wedding for Oahu, a testament to their determination and love.
Beachy Bliss with a Touch of Texas Flair
The couple envisioned a “Simple Beachy Elegance” theme, letting the natural beauty of Oahu take center stage. Think white roses, flickering candles, and a calming color palette of white, beige, champagne, and emerald with a touch of rustic brown.
Their timeless aesthetic drew inspiration from wanting photos and memories that would look just as stunning decades from now. The focus wasn’t on trendy details, but on creating a classic and elegant atmosphere that perfectly complemented the Oahu backdrop.
A Bride Who Knows Her Stuff
Jenna, who works in the wedding industry herself with “The Styling Stewardess,” had a clear vision for her look. Her strapless lace gown with delicate beadwork was a showstopper, custom-made by Wona NYC and purchased at The Blushing Bride in Dallas.
Adding a sentimental touch, Jenna wore a garter made from the fabric of her mother’s wedding dress – a heartwarming way to incorporate family history into her special day.
A Squad of Dallas Cowgirl Glam
Jenna’s bridal party was a whopping 11 bridesmaids strong! As a former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, Jenna kept the tradition alive by incorporating the iconic pregame routine to “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC – a unique and energetic moment that surely had the guests cheering!
Memories Made to Last
Jenna and Zach emphasize the importance of being present on your wedding day. Their advice? Stick by your partner’s side and soak in every moment together. The fleeting conversations with loved ones will always be there, but the memories you create with your spouse are irreplaceable.
They also recommend splurging on high-quality photography, videography, hair, and makeup. After all, these are the lasting keepsakes that will allow you to relive the magic long after the last dance.
Jenna and Zach’s Oahu wedding journey, though riddled with unexpected detours, ultimately became a testament to their love, flexibility, and love for a good beach party (Texas style!).
