A Real Maui Destination Wedding

The night Stephanie and Adam met, she was looking forward to a quiet, girls’ night in. Instead, she was dragged to a close friend’s work event that Adam was also attending. Shortly after arriving, Adam introduced himself and Stephanie immediately asked him if he was Canadian. He wasn't, but that didn’t stop them from falling in love and tying the knot in Maui, Hawaii.
With Adam hailing from Indiana and Stephanie being from Sydney, Australia, Hawaii was the perfect meeting point for their family and friends located all over the world.
While choosing a Hawaiian destination wedding was an easy task, Adam and Stephanie still had to find the perfect venue for their nuptials. “While we knew we wanted to get married in Hawaii, we weren’t sure about having a beach wedding or what you would normally picture when someone says, ‘a wedding in Hawaii,’” explains Stephanie.
With the help of their wedding planner, the couple discovered the perfect venue for their wedding – The Villa at the Calasa Gulch Olive Tree Farm. Instead of going with a more expected, tropical beach event, Adam and Stephanie were surrounded by gorgeous orchard views and Tuscan-style villas. “We loved that it showed our guests a different side of the island that they might not otherwise get to see,” says Stephanie.
Stephanie and Adam’s wedding planner not only suggested their dream venue, but also had a list of recommended vendors who made the couple's dreams a reality.
In a clearing amongst rows of olive trees, Stephanie walked down the aisle to Adam, as the sun shone down on them. “While there were lots of nerves and some tears shed, mainly by Adam, it was incredibly happy and heartfelt,” says the bride.
Following their intimate ceremony, the newlyweds and their 46 guests noshed on wood-fired pizzas and sipped craft cocktails as the sun set. The night ended with a large, family-style Italian meal, complete with a serenade of “That’s Amore” for the bride and groom. “It seemed like our families, who had only just met, had known each other for years.”
